Income Tax Planning and Preparation:
After the close of a tax year, or during the preparation of your annual tax return is no
time to start planning a major transaction. While most people do not have these
events during the year, sooner or later we all have a major transaction such as buying;
selling; refinancing or renting your home or investment property; like-kind exchanges of
business/investment property; casualty losses; involuntary conversions; whether or when to
incorporate a business entity, and so-forth. In as little as an hour during the
year, planning the alternatives in structuring a major transaction can give you the
confidence you have its tax liability under control. |
 |
| It is nice to know the result before you actually enter in to the transaction instead
of just doing it, then holding your breath for the rest of the year and at tax time. |
1-Day Tax Return Preparation Turn Around:
There is no excuse for delay in getting your tax return completed once your information is
assembled. You can meet with George and he will prepare your tax return on the spot, or
you can just drop your information at the office or mail it in to us. All tax interviews
are by pre-scheduled appointment so there is no waiting or wondering. Our office is an IRS
E-File Provider for electronic filing your federal and state returns.
Experience and Training:
George was an IRS field agent for 6-years from 1971 through 1977 in the San Francisco Bay
Area. While working days for IRS, he passed the CPA examination then he attended law
school at night until graduation and passed the California BAR examination. He has over
30-years experience in tax return planning and preparation. No return is too big or too
small. While few people understand the complexity of tax laws everyone wants and deserves
the confidence their return is done right and their tax liability minimized.
If You Should Get Audited:
Most people dread an IRS audit, and rightfully so! By signing an IRS power of attorney
form, George will represent you before the IRS. You do not have to attend the audit as
George is a seasoned representative for taxpayers. In the event there is a disputed
item in the return he can take your case to IRS Appeals in an effort to reach resolution.
Audit representation is not part of the tax return preparation fee as very few returns are
audited by IRS. When it does happen, audits can be time consuming.
What if there is an error? While rare, unfortunately sometimes an error slips through.
George will pay the interest or penalty on any amounts due which are the result of his
error in advice or preparation. You should never be liable for more than the actual income
tax liability during any tax year at the time it is due.
